Community Rules & Etiquette and Privacy Guidelines
Thank you for being part of our community. To ensure the best possible experience for all members, we have established some basic guidelines for participation.
By joining and using this community, you agree to read and follow these rules and guidelines. The forum provides a safe environment where you can solicit your peers' advice, benefit from their experience, and participate in an ongoing conversation. Questions should be directed to IPMI's Communications Team via the Contact Us link on this site or by emailing communications@parking-mobility.org.
Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with these important guidelines. If you have questions, contact the IPMI Communications Team. To preserve an environment that encourages civil and fruitful dialogue, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in this community for anyone who violates these rules.
The Rules
- Respect others. Please focus on the content of posts rather than on the people making them. Please give newer guests and members the benefit of the doubt; there’s no such thing as a stupid question.
- Respect the community's purpose. Use the community to share successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions, and goals instead of your products or services. If you’ve found a product or service helpful, please share your experience with the poster via direct message.
- To our supplier members: The Forum is not a place to sell, promote, or solicit. Your wisdom, based on the depth of your experience, is very valuable. Connecting someone in the community who has a question directly with one of your clients may be a way to be helpful.
- To suppliers' customers: Please think twice about how and when you share negative feedback about a supplier. Your experience may be unique, and your comments may have unforeseen consequences. If you are responding directly to a query, consider replying just to the person who posted the inquiry rather than to the entire community.
- All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you.
- Respect intellectual property. Post content you have created or have permission to use and have properly attributed to the creator.
- When posting items in our collaborative environment, please indicate if they are unavailable for reuse. If you would like to reuse a material, contacting the owner is also advisable.
Discussion Group Etiquette
- State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.
- Post your message or documents only to the most appropriate communities. Eliminating "noise" helps ensure all messages receive the best response.
- Send messages such as "thanks for the information" or "me, too" to individuals, not the entire list. Use the "Reply to Sender" link in every message to do this.
- Do not send administrative messages to the group, such as “remove me from the list." Instead, use the web interface to change your settings or to remove yourself from a list.
The Legal Stuff
This site is provided as a service for the members of IPMI. IPMI is not responsible for the opinions and information posted on this site by others. We disclaim all warranties concerning information posted on this site, whether posted by IPMI or any third party; this disclaimer includes all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness. In no event shall IPMI be liable for any special, indirect, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data, or profits arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on this site.

In addition, the posting party grants IPMI and users of this site the nonexclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use such information or other material.
Messages should not be posted if they encourage or facilitate members to arrive at any agreement that either expressly or impliedly leads to price fixing, a boycott of another's business, or other conduct intended to illegally restrict free trade. Messages that encourage or facilitate an agreement about the following subjects are inappropriate: prices, discounts, or terms or conditions of sale; salaries; profits, profit margins, or cost data; market shares, sales territories, or markets; allocation of customers or territories; or selection, rejection, or termination of customers or suppliers.
IPMI does not take responsibility for actively monitoring the site for inappropriate postings and does not undertake editorial control of postings. However, if any inappropriate posting is brought to IPMI's attention, we will take all appropriate action.
IPMI reserves the right to terminate access to users who do not abide by these guidelines.
